Intergenerational (2018)

Intergenerational is a series of short films that explore how barriers to employment are being broken down for those living with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities.

In 2017, Curtin University and Western Sydney University conducted a research project into how mentoring could assist young men living with ID to enter the workforce and become more involved in community. They did this through partnering young men with mentors and facilitating manual and social skill development at Men’s Sheds across the country.

The films explore the experiences of Jamie and Declan, their relationships with their mentors and their respective stories of growth.
